Preview: Australia vs Canada ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 match

ONCE AGAIN Bangalore's M Chinnaswamy Stadium is ready to entertain cricket-loving crowds on Wednesday, March 16. In the 35th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, two group 'A' teams, defending champion Australia and minnow Canada will face each other.

The Australian team, which was not being considered as the top contenders of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 prior to the tournament, started their campaign with a 91-run victory against Zimbabwe. In the next match, they won by seven wickets against neighbour New Zealand.

The Australian winning streak stopped by rain, when their match was washed away against Sri Lanka. In their fourth match of the Cricket World Cup 2011 against Kenya, who is in the last position in their group, Australian team won by 60 runs.

Canada, one of the weakest team of the ongoing tournament, in all the five matches, chased the target, but missed the destination every time except once against Kenya.
The Canadian team won against Kenya by five wickets, but lost against Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Pakistan and New Zealand by 210-run, 175-run, 46-run and 97 runs respectively.
