ICC CRICKET World Cup 2011 official song is on the air now. Indian sub-continent including India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh are hosting the biggest Cricket event from February 19 to April 2. Fourteen nations will play total of fourty nine matches for the titan. Cricket fans in about 220 countries will watch the live coverage of the World Cup Cricket tournament.
Indian music composer Shankar–Ehsaan–Loy (Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani and Loy Mendonsa) composed the official song for the 2011 Cricket World Cup and Manoj Yadav has penned the official song of the ICC World Cup 2011. Shankar and Divya Kumar have given their voice for the song "De Ghumaa Ke".
"De Ghumaa Ke" song was officially released on December 31th last year. The theme song has been recorded in three languages Hindi, Sinhalese and Bangla. The song will be performed during the opening ceremony of the tournament on February 17 to be held at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka.
Literal meaning of the official song for the 2011 Cricket World Cup "De Ghumaa Ke" is 'Hit It Hard'. The lyricist has commonly used Hindi terms in the theme song such as “aare paare” (this way or that), “guthi gutham” (fisticuffs), “juta hausla badla faisla” (buck up and change the game) and “jiyo khiladi wah re wah re.”
