Cricket, Australia vs England 5th ODI live score, Aus 243, Woakes takes 6

Australia vs England Australian batting seems to have wilted once again under an intense bowling attack from English bowlers who have been in top form throughout the series.

So there is one word mantra, take Watson early and the whole Australian batting line up will follow him. And the same seems to be true thus far in the series. The man is taken and the whole team follows suit.

Bu today the beginning was not that bad. And we thought that Australian team would get one savior or the other. They got a hope in Michael Clarke but he too lost the concentration after completing his fifty and lost his wicket at an individual score of 54 runs.

Besides him only Haddin and DJ Hussey were able to score some runs, all others looked intent to play bad shots and return to the pavilion to be with their frustrated teammates.

Woakes has been incredible. He has shown so much variety that it seems unbelievable. The 21 year old bowler who is playing just second one day international seems to have mesmerized the bowlers as well as viewers.

He has taken six wickets and seems to be the most potent arm in English arsenal against Australians today.

Woakes is a good sign for England. They have great bowling attack right now and taking ten wickets for them is not that difficult.

On the other hand Australian batting performance is not a good omen at the time when World Cup is just round the corner and they will have to face great batting sides like India, South Africa and Sri Lanka, besides of course England.

After 49 overs Australians are struggling at 243 runs and I am sure they were expecting at least 260 runs to make the match competitive.
