The ICC cricket World Cup 2011, beginning from February 19 in the sub-continent, will hit the work productivity severely in India.
According to a survey conducted by ASSOCHAM, the Cricket World Cup will have the worst impact on corporate houses in India.
The survey, which covered 4000 people, claims that the productivity will dip drastically and will also hit the studies of students.
The quadrennial extravaganza will cost loss of 768 million man hours as one in five employees would like to take time off to watch their favourite games.
Over a month long-tournament will also have impact on students’ performance in the board examination.
