ICC Cricket World Cup edition is a hit: Shetty

Ratnakar Shetty, the tournament director of the ICC 2011 World Cup, said on Friday that the current World Cup is a hit in the sub-continent.
"This edition is certainly a hit. The sub-continent fans have not only enjoyed seeing their respective teams, but even other teams got good audiences. That is because they are seeing top quality cricket in this competition," Shetty said and added that gate collections even for non-India matches have been good.
According to Shetty, Friday's match between South Africa and New Zealand was played in front of a packed house at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium. "This once again proves how big a brand this is."
